Sponsor a Resident and Change Her Life... Forever.
As an individual sponsor, we will provide quarterly updates and create meaningful, appropriate opportunities to engage in her recovery path. Thank you for considering the personal investment into the graduation path for one of our residents.
Survivors of sex trafficking at Refuge SoCal may live in the Recovery Home for 9 - 12 months, all at no cost to them. General housing and program expenses are subsidized by a pool of generous donors. This individual sponsorship is a unique and personalized engagement with the Refuge SoCal program. See Dan for more details.
Deep-seated, complex trauma is at the heart of the issue, setting up a series of vulnerabilities that led to exploitation, survival, and abuse.
Refuge SoCal works with professional therapists for counseling, EMDR, and other modes. Professionals gratefully provide services at a reduced fee.
Still, this is a large and very important item in our recovery budget. Thank you for investing in her survivor recovery curriculum and therapies that literally restore a life that was stolen.
The daily program, 9am - 3pm, is full of group and individual activities, discussions, and readings to meet the holistic needs of a trauma survivor. Education is a big part of the recovery, and this fund supports her education goals.

Residents work hard... facing a traumatic past and learning to manage life in a new way is difficult. Weekends and special events, like Retreats, Fun Getaways, and Service Projects, are all part of a holistic program for recovery and healthy independence.
