Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue provides neglected border collies with a safe and loving home. MABCR attends to the dogs' medical and behavioral needs and if appropriate, works to place them with a family.
Byte Back offers free, computer training and career support services to low-income adult learners in DC and Baltimore. On average, hired graduates started earning $20,000 more per year than before Byte Back.
Promise Project helps underserved children with learning disabilities get what they need at school and at home. Promise offers cutting-edge neuropsychological testing, advocates relentlessly on behalf of students, educates parents, and collaborates with NYC public schools to train and prepare teachers.
Pathways to Housing DC provides on-the-ground support to people experiencing homelessness. They believe that stable, supportive housing is a precondition of reintegration - not a result. 92% of the people who move into Pathways' permanent housing program remain successfully housed.
