A tool library is a shared community resource that provides access to a wide variety of useful items that can be borrowed, just like books that are in circulation for years, reducing the demand to produce new stuff that destroys habitat, generates greenhouse gas emissions, creates pollution, and harms wildlife. It also makes a wide variety of items available to people who might not be able to afford the item or justify the expense for infrequent use. Please note that we have selected Milwaukee as our tool brand because they are used by many contractors and will last a long time, and we have selected one brand for battery and parts compatibility.
Central Florida Mutual Aid is a collective of regular folx in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties practicing mutual aid. For CFLMA, mutual aid has three crucial elements: collaborating to meet each other's needs, having a shared understanding that the systems we live within are oppressive and not meeting our needs, and working together to strategically address root causes. The tool library lives at the intersection of climate justice, racial justice, gender justice, and socio-economic justice. We thank you for your support of this project!
