BCS Giving Tree
Welcome to the Buddhist Church of Stockton's Giving Tree page. We want to extend our sincere appreciation for your kind consideration in supporting the church's efforts to beautify and update the church grounds. As the church has stood at its current site for over 50 years, there is a growing list of repairs and maintenance that need to be addressed.
This website compiles a list of needs, but does not sell the gifts. If you would like to contribute to one of the following funds, be sure to click on the 'Give this gift' button so your gift will be in your name. There are unlimited spots within each fund, and any amount is greatly appreciated. The "quantity" represents the dollar amount you would like to contribute and you can click "Make your own arrangements" for payment and then follow the separate links to Square payment or PayPal within each fund to complete your donation. Please note that while we value your support and you may choose which fund you'd like to contribute toward, the final total may be allocated in a manner in which the board sees fit, based on the most pressing issues that arise. Thank you for your understanding!
For continued security of the church premises, the BCS is looking to update the security cameras that monitor the church grounds.
We want to enhance the wifi connection in all temple buildings.
With the health and safety of our sangha in mind, we would like to purchase air purifiers to use when we are able to safely gather again in the temple and buildings.
We would like to remove the bats from the temple in a safe and humane manner and prevent re-entry by repairing the roof.
It was a wish of our previous minister, Reverend Motoyoshi, that centralized heating and cooling be added in the Dharma School Building, and we would like to fulfill this wish.
We would like to update our streaming & editing equipment, as well as cameras for virtual services and activities.
We would like to renovate the gym's walk-in refrigerator (e.g., shelving, entryway, and flooring to address safety concerns).
We would like to repair the fence that was damaged due to arson.
We are looking to repair and maintain the exterior of the church buildings through sanding and repainting where paint is chipping or cracking.
