URI does wonderful things for the City of New Haven: planting trees, fostering community involvement while improving the City's Greenspaces, and training under-privileged youth and adults with marketable job skills. URI is a joint effort between the City of New Haven and Yale University; Britton currently serves as Vice- President of the Board of Directors, and he leads the Friends of Lenzi Park, a URI GreenSpace Group. URI has been an invaluable source of enjoyment and fulfillment for our life in New Haven.
The Stark Mountain Foundation is the environmental stewardship organization that takes care of the mountain where the Mad River Glen Cooperative Ski Area operates. The regeneration of forests, maintenance of hiking and ski trails, education and preservation efforts of the foundation are the core of what we believe in, and what we love about Vermont. John volunteers as a doctor on the ski patrol at Mad River Glen. Britton helps with trail maintenance on occasion, and at social events. And sometimes, he helps with sweep at the end of the day. And when he doesn't, he keeps a stool warm in at General Stark's Pub in the Base Box waiting for John to finish sweeping the mountain. We are member-owners of the Co-op.
We love these organic cotton towels. We love both the Sumptuous and the Air Weight. In Whites, Grays, and Neutrals. The next time you come visit us in Vermont, you'll see how great they are! Part of our joy of Vermont is having guests. We first experienced these towels at the Topia Inn in Adams, Mass. It's an inn that prides itself on organic, toxin-free materials.
Like the bath towels, we love the organic cotton sheets from Coyuchi. We love to welcome our guests with nice bedding. We have Full and King-Sized beds in Vermont and a King Size in New Haven.
We love just about everything from this wonderful store in Northampton, Mass. If you haven't been, you should stop by - the town, and the shop. Anything from here - books, ceramics, linens, garden, or a gift card.
We can't get enough of Terrain. They have great vintage furniture and accessories along with their plant nursery and wonderful household and holiday goods.
We love vintage furniture - especially Mid Century Modern. This shop on Etsy has a lot of great modern stuff.

A kitchen shop in Waitsfield, we frequent The Store.
We love John Baricelli and his SoNo Baking Company. He comes to New Haven farmers' markets, and whenever we're in Westport or Norwalk, we love to stop by the bakeries.
We would love both the Cookbook, and the sequel, The Seasonal Baker.

One of our favorites for a quick bite or a nice baguette in the City (and now in CT). Their recipes for granola and gazpacho are just two examples of why we want this cookbook.
One of our favorite restaurants, when we visited London, was Ottolenghi in Islington. Our friend Jane Moon took us there.

We love photography. John has taught Britton a lot about photography, and they both enjoy taking, and looking at photos. And who doesn't appreciate a good, locally owned camera shop. We're lucky to have Milford Photo close by. For a new lens, or for printing a great shot, we get a lot of use out of the place.
