Megan and Spencer's Baby Registry
Megan Ward Travi & Spencer Travi
March is coming around lightening fast!! For our family and friends who want to offer help, we have put together a list of items, professional services, contributions of time/skills, and other ways to be involved that will make it easy to welcome our babies into this beautiful world. We encourage gently used items when appropriate, as well as organic and natural products when possible. But most importantly, we are grateful for all acts of generosity and support you may offer as we venture into this new and wonderful phase of life! If you have any questions about these items, don't hesitate to give Megan a call at (828) 424-1256 or an email at [email protected].
**We have received a great deal of secondhand items from family and friends. If you would like to gift us something that you do not see on this list and want to find out whether or not we have it, please feel free to contact us!
Buying an hour ($30) of doula services would be a HUGE help to us for when we bring our twins home. I've been working with Homegrown Babies on birth and postpartum education, and would love to hire some of their services for professional assistance during that (somewhat scary) transition time! Just go to the link below and click the donate button on the right. When you fill out the information, put my name in the "Purpose" box. They will take it from there!
We have dreamed of hiring someone to do a deep home cleaning for us so we can be absolutely sure we welcome our babies into the cleanest and healthiest environment possible. One initial deep cleaning is estimated to be roughly $200. If anyone would like to give a gift certificates in any dollar amount, you would help us achieve this dream! Just call the owner of Green Home Cleaning at 828.582.2080, and mention the name Megan Travi, she is happy to work with you over the phone!
My favorite baby store in Asheville! You all know I love to support local stores and local goods, and this one has some great stuff. The owner Lyndsi has also been incredible helpful to me so far. Just call 828-253-4747 if you'd like to get a gift certificate!
A good diaper bag with lots of pockets will make going out and about much easier!

We have opted to use a 13 gallon trash can with lid and a reusable liner instead of a diaper genie. That way, we can extend this gift's life! This one at Target looks like it would work very well.
A washable pail liner would be perfect! This one is PVC free and fits any diaper pail/trash can.
There are a variety of cloth diapers out there, and we've been told we should experiment on which ones work best for us. One thing is for sure -- with twins, we will need a lot of them! We have been gifted several hand-me-downs, but any additional diapers would be helpful. We would happily take ones you are ready to pass on, but we welcome new as well. Especially if you have a favorite! My lovely sister-in-law recommended the website below. And if you want to help with diapers but are not sure how, The Littlest Birds in Asheville has a variety of new and consigned cloth diaper products. A gift certificate would come in very handy! (See further down list for info on The Littlest Birds.)
For all those random odds and ends I won't even know that I need until I do! This could also help supplement our nursery furniture and organizational needs.
This is a great variety pack that will helps us to avoid pharmaceuticals when possible - treats fever, earaches, bumps and bruises, and more!
I would love a few nursing tanks or tees to make breastfeeding easier! I included a link to one at Motherhood Maternity

We want to make our own baby food and heard this book was great!
I included an example link below, but I am not specifically requesting this style. I have heard this item really will be one of my best friends for nursing twins!
A must have for cloth diapers! Sprayer attaches to the toilet to provide a simple way to rinse cloth diapers before washing.

We will need to supplement our cloth diapers with disposable, and we would love to have a little stash built up of chlorine-free diapers, like the example provided in the link below.
Spencer and I will be all about the babywearing, and we heard rave reviews about the Storchenwiege brand. Apparently woven (not jersey) is key for strength, especially with twins. I also learned stripes are important, because they help you determine if you are wrapping correctly! And I just liked this pattern :-)

Wouldn't it be fun to pass on one of your cherished memories? There are some classic kids books still out there and we would love to start building our collection.
A must-have for any new momma, to avoid embarrassing moments and having to change tops... Glad Rags makes a great organic version!

Still working on figuring out which style of double stroller is the best pick for our family, but if you have one to pass on, we would be thrilled to give it a second life.
