Spencer's First Birthday!
Spencer Dale
May 15, 2014
Our little baby is growing up. Not sure where the past year has gone, but our tiny little miracle has grown into a bouncing, crawling and very chatty baby boy. It's time to celebrate! We want Spencer to have more fun and less stuff in his life. Hopefully, this little list will give you a few ideas to help our little guy celebrate his special day with this in mind.
I LOVE looking at pictures that my big kid friends have drawn. Mommy wants to cover the walls of my attic playroom with them for me. Please be sure to sign your work so I know who drew it for me.
I love watching my little fish, Chip, swim around. Who wants to go see a LOT of fishies with me???
One of my very favorite things to do is looking at photos of faces. I especially love to see people I love. Mommy wants to cover the whole fridge with pictures of my friends and family. I would love your picture. I promise to point at it over and over and babble delightedly and incoherently!!
I have seen lots of animals in books, but I am ready to see them in person. I'd love someone to join me on my first trip to the zoo!
I have a fishy and a puppy. Cats seems very nice, but I still haven't met one up close and personal. Does anyone have a really nice friendly cat that is good with kids that I could meet? I think I would REALLY like to pet a kitty.
If you really want to buy a gift, there are so many boys and girls who need them badly. Mommy likes to buy them animals! You can buy a flock of chicks, a hive of honeybees, a cow, or even a camel! These animals provide food and income for the children's families and when the animals have babies they are given to other people in the communities. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!!!
I don't like toys from the store. I prefer for them to be road tested and guaranteed to be fun before they get to me. If you have any toys you loved, and know are fun, send them my way!
I LOVE music. If you have any kid friendly CDs that you love please let my mom borrow them so she can add them to my iTunes playlist.
Mommy swore she would never buy me loud annoying musical instruments, but I REALLY love them and she REALLY loves me, so bring them on! If you have any noisemakers that you have outgrown, or your mom and dad have hidden on you because they are too annoying, bring it on!
I love to squash my food on my high chair tray and paint with it. Mommy's been thinking about making me some edible paint, but hasn't gotten around to it. If you have some time to spare maybe you could make me some. Here is a link to some recipes.
