Welcome to our SoKind registry! This website compiles our list of gift requests but does not sell the gifts. If you would like to 'claim' a gift, be sure to click on the 'Give this gift' button so the gift will be claimed in your name, and so that we won't receive any duplicates. Then, you can follow our instructions on how or where to give the gift.
We request that, where possible, you look for secondhand and/or upcycled gifts. If you are buying something new, please consider buying from small, local businesses and artists.
For reference, here are some season/sizing considerations:
-The baby will be born in spring! (0-3 months)
-Summer (3-6 months)
-Fall (6-9 months)
-Winter (10-12 months)
Feeling creative? We'd love to have something from you to give the kiddo as they grow up.
We are looking for ones that are sustainably made or made of recycled plastic.
Babies can only really see contrast for the first little while, so it would be nice to have these cards that they could enjoy looking at. We could also hang them up in the nursery.
We have a handpan, but it's probably too big for baby. We would love to have a little version so they could play with us!
Our insurance does not cover homebirth expenses. Since this will be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, it felt worth it to prioritize comfort, care, and community. But, that is expensive. If you would like to pitch funds for this cost, there are options below:
-Emily's Venmo - @eccdempsey (last four of phone: 1245)
-andra's PayPal - [email protected]
-Check by mail - 7836 SW Terwilliger Blvd., Portland, OR 97219
This would be a great thing to get used!
While we will have some disposable ones on hand, we want to try washing some as well.
Looking for biodegradable wipes with natural ingredients. No scents, please.
Natural fiber or waterproof bibs (this is a great thing to get secondhand). The link is to an example, not necessarily the ones we want. Use your best judgment and see what you can find! We like gender-neutral nature-themed patterns.

We really can't have too many. Looking for gender-neutral nature-themed patterns (or planets). We really like pastel rainbow.
For reference, the baby will be born in the spring (0-3 months), will be 3-6 months in summer, will be 6-9 months in fall, and will be 9-12 months in winter.
We especially want things that are easy to put on and take off like frocks, ponchos, dresses, and other things that do not include pants. We LOVE sleep sacks.
Preferably natural fibers such as wool, cotton, and linen, but we'll take anything, especially if secondhand!
Self-explanatory! "Couples" blankets are often bigger, and that would be nice. Used is fine.
We'd love some puzzles that are good for a one-year-old and older. It will be nice to have them on hand for learning!
We have lots of front-wearing options, but we don't have a backpack yet. The one in the link is a neat adjustable style for many ages. It would be great to get a used one.
This prevents us from having to use plastic bags! Probably best to get these new, but if they are washed well, we're open to getting them used!
We don't know what diaper bag we want! You probably would know better than we do. This seems like a good thing to get secondhand.
Looking for hats fitting the baby at 3-6 months especially. This is a great thing to get used! We like gender-neutral natural themes (plants, animals, planets, etc.)
We are nervous about giving the baby bottles that decrease interest in breastfeeding, so we like bottles that keep that in mind. There's a link to one that looks really cool! Emily has fair skin and nipple style 4. We would also enjoy the deeper tones as well. You might be able to find these used on Ebay!
We are using cloth diapers! We would love some new cloth diaper covers (or lightly used) with cute patterns, ideally made with sustainability in mind.
Used diaper covers are just fine with us.
For patterns, we like rainbow, planets/stars, and animals.
You can get these used on Ebay!
Keep them comfy when there are loud noises or loud places! We like this style with the adjustable strap. Ebay is a great place to find this used.
We want a way to warm breastmilk that does not introduce microplastics. We will be using large breast-shaped bottles, so having something that will pour milk into a new container is best. If you can find this used, amazing! There's a link to the one we like.
We need to get a new one of these (NOT SECONDHAND, please, for safety reasons). Joie Chili Spin Sl, Evenflo Revolve Slim, Graco 4Ever DLX (favorite) all meet the new standards for car seat safety and grow with the kiddo as they age.
We need this as soon as possible because, if we transfer to the hospital or have the baby early, we won't be able to bring the baby home without a car seat that meets their standards.
Please try to buy direct from the manufacturer and not from Amazon, if possible.
