Jacksonville Library of Things
The Center for Biological Diversity not only fights to protect wildlife and wild lands in Florida — we also work in partnership to address the underlying causes of the extinction crisis, including the excessive production and consumption of new products. We’re excited to announce that we’re helping establish a Library of Things pilot project in Jacksonville.
A Library of Things is a shared community resource that provides access to a wide variety of useful items that can be borrowed, just like books that are in circulation for years, reducing the demand to produce new stuff that destroys habitat, generates greenhouse gas emissions, creates pollution, and harms wildlife.
We would love your support getting this project off the ground by donating items for the library.
We would like 6 sets (2 cables for each of the 3 dorms) of multi-USB charging cables to charge most cell phones on the market. Pre-owned examples are linked below.
