GHS Wedding Event: Martin and Molly
Martin & Molly
November 4, 2016
Martin and Molly, GHS Alumni Pups, Are Getting Married!!
We are so excited for our wedding day! The way we see it, this is just the first of many amazing days to come. We were thinking about our wedding registry and, truthfully, we already have all the stuff that we need! What we’re most wishing for is to see our friends at Glendale Humane Society, those still waiting for their forever homes, be provided the supplies they need! Please help us help those still in rescue at the shelter.
Though our favorite gift of all is your presence, if you're so inclined, we’ve picked out a few things for our newlywed wish list: Glendale Humane Society is always in need of basic supplies, training, and medical attention for our animals, but to make this easier for all of you we have assembled a registry with all the different items you can donate towards for the shelter. If you don't see anything on this registry, you can also check out our wish list on Amazon at

Thank you all in advance for helping to make our wedding extra special!
Many GHS dogs come into rescue needing different levels and/or types of training. We offer our pups basic training and socialization exercises. Many of our dogs in rescue would not be adoptable without specialized training. Our staff and volunteer's also receive training. The trainer's at GHS are amazing and do so much for us, but there is a fee for their time. Our goal for training is $10,000, we are happy to receive any amount from you! Help us continue to offer the best training available to our dogs at GHS!!

We use raw fermented goat's milk for all our puppies, kittens, and dog's in quarantine. It is a natural probiotic that boosts nutrition, contains vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, trace elements, enzymes, protein, and fatty acids utilized by the body with ease. We are happy to offer our dogs and cats a holistic alternative to improve their health and quality of life.
Our goal is to raise $1050 to cover the year, but 1 month or 12, it is all much appreciated!
Fermented Fish Stock has been shown to improve joint health, thyroid health, aid in digestive health (a super food for this), help with liver detox, improve skin and coat health, and boost the immune system. We provide this to both our dogs and cats as needed.
Our goal is to cover the year.
Crumpet is a 7 year old Tibetan Terrier. She is very sweet and calm, loves a lap and loves to be held. We rescued her and her sister Tea from the Hesperia Shelter. They both came in with terrible teeth. Neglected teeth in canines can cause terrible pain and leave them with seriously offensive breath!! She needs about nine teeth pulled! OUCH! But, she has never complained!!
It has been proven time and time again that a well groomed pooch has far better odds of finding their forever home than their ungroomed friends. Besides everyone feels better after a bath!
Our goal is to cover the year.

Tea is a 5 year old TibetanTerrier. She is ever so sweet and quite easy to hang out with - ask her sister Crumpet. Both she and her sister will be needing some dental work because their teeth are in poor condition. The cost of dental work ads up very quickly, but the dogs cannot live in this pain and discomfort. Please help us make Tea more comfortable and ready to find her forever home!
All our dogs and cats are required by the city to be spayed or neutered before they go home to their new families.
Nicky is our poster child for ongoing medical needs, but really many of the dogs that come into rescue at GHS need medical attention. Often it is dental work, which really adds up, and other times we are dealing with allergies or other illnesses. Other pups come to us as hospice dogs, who will require life long care.
It may sound like a lot, but our staff is 100% dedicated and indispensable! They invest their heart, soul, and time into improving the lives of our dogs at the shelter every day. We have volunteers and they fill in the blanks, but we could not do this without a full time staff.

The shelter is required to reimburse staff for mileage. This includes trips to the vet, off-site training classes, trips to the park or other venues for socialization.

Kongs are part training and part nourishment. A filled kong keeps GHS pups busy during down time. We fill our kongs with a combination of wholesome ingredients and use them daily with all our dogs.
Real Meat is our training treat of choice! We go through a lot of it!
Bully sticks are an edible treat that can keep dogs busy in downtime or redirect behavior. They are a natural, single ingredient chew that our pups LOVE!
Do we need to say why?!! Dogs love their toys! Some enjoy the interaction with a human and some can play all by themselves! It's great for exercise, thinking, and socialization! We go through a lot of them. Our pups love their toys until they literally fall apart!
If you would prefer, you can check out our Amazon wish list here. There are many items listed here that the shelter also needs. Please click the link below.

Our shelter is deep cleaned once a week and cleaned daily by staff, however we are not exempt from nasty little bugs! We have found an extermination company that uses a safe product for our animals. He comes once a month and we have managed to keep the bug population to a minimum!
Our goal is to raise the amount for the year $1,800, but we are happy with any amount!
