Something I wish for my two children is that they find comfort and fun in each other and want to spend time together. I also endeavor to send them into the world seeing themselves as citizens first - not consumers.
To that aim, we are offering this registry of alternative gift ideas that we'll love just as much as the latest toy trend.

Look around - most likely you have some by-gone wardrobe items, hats, gloves, bags, etc. that kids can use to play dress-up or create a homemade Halloween costume.
Pom poms? Pipe cleaners? Brushes and paints? New or used, these kids will love 'em.
Rummage through your library, pick out a few well-read books, stack 'em up, tie a ribbon - you're done. We will love it!
These kids love puzzles, but who wants to do the same puzzle over and over? Maybe your kids have tired of their puzzles and it's time to trade. Garage sales also have puzzles for just a dollar or two. Anything animal is a good subject. Nothing too hard, please.

Avery LOVES to swim! A seven week session of lessons at the Y is $58 and she swims all year.

These two LOVE going to the movies. With popcorn! Regal Cinemas is our local theatre and you can buy gift cards online.
Guess what? A toy doesn't have to be new to be "new to you"! Brian and Avery would enjoy well-loved toys that have served their time in your house and are ready for a new home. If it's new, it's fun.
